Practical exam in 3 phases
The practical test begins with a "first phase" carried out in a private yard, consisting of verifying the driver's ability to prepare for safe driving:
- ability to wear the helmet and protective clothing correctly
- checking the vehicle's controls and devices
Subsequently, a "second phase" will be carried out consisting of:
- putting the motorcycle on and off its stand and moving it while walking beside it
- two balance tests, obstacle avoidance and braking between the cones
The "third phase" will be driving in traffic.
Vehicles used for the practical test
You can choose to take the practical test with a geared or automatic motorcycle.
With the A1 you can also work your way up to a car licence
